Poker face.

Hey guys!
So it was my 21st birthday on Tuesday. Bit of a disastrous night to be quite honest, except for a special few who helped to make it better. And the boy of course, who made sure I was having the best night possible, considering my birthday falls on deadline week and everyone is skint because it is the end of term!
Anyway. This post is mainly to show off my beautiful new dress that was one of my presents from him. Boy done good. ;)

Earrings - Topshop, Dress - Sugarhill Boutique, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell.

Now I have been after this dress for quite some time. I first fell in love with it last summer, but considering I was living out of my overdraft, I could not quite justify the price tag. Although for those of you who read last summer will know I couldn't really justify half the stuff I bought. Anyway. Last week I thought I would just have a browse on their site and saw it had gone into sale! After nearly having a heart attack at the fact they still had it in my size I hinted extremely heavily at the boy to buy it as a birthday present. And to my joy, he did!
The dress was delivered quickly. It was ordered on the Friday night and was here by Tuesday, and I have to say I could not be happier with it. The pattern is unlike anything I have seen before and is just the right amount of girly for me. The fabric is beautiful and floaty, but the dress is properly lined so there is no fear of any underwear sneaking into view.
Having worn this dress I would have to say I will definitely consider their price tags from now on as the quality and fit of this is totally worth the money!

This evening I am off to shower and crack on with some work. Deadlines are coming out of every orifice in my body and time is fast running out so I had best get going!

Ciao for now!

We feel nothing so jump into the fog...

Hey hey hey my lovers!
So today I went shopping with Amy, and unfortunately we forgot to buy almost everything we went in for, except my toothpaste. I also finally bought a decent face cream, which will hopefully moisturize my skin without causing a massive breakout like my current jar of aptrex is doing.
I won't do a massive review as there are already plenty of beauty bloggers who do a good enough job of that, but I might keep you updated on the progress.

Anywho, this is what I wore for today's shopping trip. It is the outfit mentioned in yesterday's post.

Hat - Topshop, dress - New Look, Bag - Ark, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell.

As I said before, I tried to get a dress before that was similar to this, but for whatever reason, they seem to have stopped selling them. Cue devastation. I then however stumbled across this beauty. I love it as I think it will be a really versatile dress, during the day I will wear it with this hat and some chunky boots, but for night I will be teaming it with my JCs like I have done here.
I actually prefer this dress to the one I was after originally, as it won't fall down! (The other one was strapless) I also think it is great for ladies with the smaller bust (like moi) because, due to the backless nature of this dress, wearing a bra is not very easy. Or classy. So I guess for fashion sense, having little mosquito bites instead of juicy mangos is actually an advantage, bras are not essential! Ha!

So tomorrow my packing continues and will be finished. I did a little more today and I am shocked to realise I have more than 3 large cardboard boxes, filled just with shoes and another with bags. And it is going to take at least one more suitcase to pack up the rest of my clothes, which are just going out clothes really. Oops!
None the less, I am more than excited to move back. Can't wait to start the new term, to get some knowledge. And hopefully a job. All these pretty things that I have no space for, as mentioned above, have made a massive dent in my overdraft. So a job is pretty bloody urgent really!

Tonight I am off to watch Lord of the Rings, again, because I am a nerd, and get stuck in to October's Elle. WHERE IS THIS YEAR GOING?! Bahhhh!
What are you all up to this evening/tomorrow/this weekend?

Ciao ciao for now!

Happy Friday!

Hey guys!
So this has been a relatively good week, particularly yesterday. If you had seen yesterday's post you will know that I received my Galaxy Note that I upgraded to on Wednesday. As you could probably tell, it is taking me a while to get used to the size and keypad after 2 years with blackberry. This means that I have finally joined the world of instagram! Follow me when I have finally worked it all out and got it linked to this.

If any of you have any good apps that you'd recommend, let me know!

Shirt - Newlook, Top - H&M, Pleather trousers- Topshop, Bag - Ark, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell, Belt - Vintage, glasses - Red or Dead.

I thought I'd try the layering trend a little today, as I am not keen on either of these tops on their own, and actually, I love them together! I won't go into the trousers or boots again as you all know how much I love them!
Yesterday I had my hair bleached again. My roots were beyond a joke, and I wanted to dye it crazy colours again, however, now my hair is brittle like straw and was snapping as I was straightening it, I feel like this was one bleach too much! Any of you beauty bloggers got any solutions for me? Apart from "I told you so" as I've already heard enough of that!
Despite the bleaching, I did dye it minty green again today, and hallelujah! I got the mix right so it came out pastelly finally! It doesn't show up too well here though :(

Tonight I am off to the boyf's house, then I have absolutely nothing planned for the rest of the weekend. Sadface. Do any of you have anything nice planned?

Ciao ciao for now!

How do you like me now?

Quick post today as I have 20 minutes before my bus, had a fairly uneventful day, attempted to start a 2 day fast then caved in at dinner time and made my favourite wholemeal pasta, albeit a small portion ;)

Here is the outfit of the day.

Top and shorts - Topshop, Bag - Ark, boots - Jeffrey Campbell.

Excuse the dodgy inside photos, my "photographer" aka dad was busy until it was too dark to take them outside! These shortening days are going to make blogging a bit more dificult!
Anywho, I am off round to the boyf's tonight, don't know yet what we are going to do though, then tomorrow I am taking my nan shopping again, as she has changed her mind on the dress we bought last week.
What are you all up to?

Ciao ciao,

Summer's in the air and baby, heaven's in your eyes.

So today I went out with a friend to town to pick up a few bits before her operation tomorrow. (GOOD LUCK LADY) The day was unbelievably hot, and I realised yet again that summer is not the time for leather clothing. I have said this the last several times I have been out, yet I still don't learn from it!
Anyway, this is my outfit of the day. I thought this would be a good opportunity to show you all my new tasselled bag that I bought last week.
I also bought this lipstick today too. I am not al that great on judging make up, my friend likes it, I'm not so sure, what do you all think?

Top and feather earrings - Newlook, Skirt and tassel bag - Ark, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell, Watch - Fossil, Above knuckle rings - Kukee, Spiked ring and skeleton necklace - Miss Selfridge, cross earring, skull ring and leather bracelets - Topshop, skull bracelets - Spun Out, Charm Bracelet - Pandora.

Gosh I didn't realise I was wearing that much!
Anywho, I spent an age looking for a tassel bag like this, only to find that they had sold out everywhere, but I finally found one!
I thought I would do a close up on my jewellery today as I realised I didn't actually have any decent photos of my above the knuckle rings from Kukee, who are amazing by the way. I've said that before, but I am still raving!

On another note, because my posts have got a bit repetitive recently, I thought I would write about a few things that are really exciting me at the moment.

Leather! - Incase you can't already tell, I am fully embracing the leather trend full on, (possibly too early, as it is soooo hot!) and wearing it constantly. The slightly gothic trend that has been hitting the glossies for the last 2 months is making me so excited for the change in seasons and the winter ahead! Never EVER thought I would say this, but bring on the cooler weather so we can all embrace our inner bikers and goths and don leather!

Pastel Hair! - So excited to see that this is a trend that will be sticking around for the next season! I would probably have kept it up a bit longer anyway, but it is nice to be Elle approved ;)

Major hair envy.

Patent/waxy garments! - Anything with a slightly fetishy feeling to it is alright with me!

This seriously cool dress is by Jill Sander, and I have to say, I wouldn't have the guts to wear it, I freaken' LOVE it!
(Image from Elle.com)

Suits! - Personally I don't think I will ever be able to pull off this classic wardrobe staple, and I seriously envy people that can. Maybe in a few years when I am a grown up and no longer wear spiky shoes and have normal coloured hair I might invest... Maybe.

A suit in red velvet?! What's not to love?!
(Image from Elle.com)

Tartan! - I am loving this trend, but I can't help but think I might wear it more in a punky sense than the scottish!

Loving this shirt from Ark! Studded boots, leather trousers and stacked bracelets, the glamorous punk look nailed!
(Image from arkclothing.com)

As excited as I am about the next season, I can't help but cringe at some trends, such as jewel embellishment, I can't help but think that it looks tacky. Even in the pages of Vogue, garments in this trend just remind me of something I would have worn as a little girl that had been pulled out of the dressing up box. I can't help but wonder what a catastrophe will be made of this trend on the high street.
Another major pet hate for me is the new 'lower heel.' I can understand I guess for practical reasons, the desire to buy a shoe like this, but I think unless it is sky high, it isn't worth doing!

Both big no nos in my opinion, but what do you think?

So at this point I was also going to add a youtube link of one of my tunes of the moment, but for those of you who are new to reading my blog, you should know that I am severely technologically challenged and I couldn't make it work. So if any of you could tell me how to do it, I shall try to put one on my next post!

Now I am off to bed as this post took me quite a bit longer than I thought it would, so I am going to chill with a film and catch up on reading Vogue!
Are you guys doing anything exciting this week?

Au revoir, toodle pip!

OH! P.s. Please stop with the I'll follow you if you follow me comments, they are getting old now. (Grumpy Samma.)

Leather and spikes.

Hey guys!

So today I didn't really do alot, although I did manage to push myself to the gym, really trying to push myself before the return to Uni in 3 weeks.

For those of you who follow me on twitter or facebook, you will already know that my Jeffrey Campbells finally arrived, and I tell you what, they are well worth that agonising wait, I love them and so far, they seem really comfy!
I ordered them from Formosa, and although I pre-ordered them, they were supposed to be dispatched on Wednesday the 8th, however, they weren't dispatched until Friday evening, so they took a lot longer than I was expecting! Anyway, they are here now so all is well.
I thought after goin gon about them for so long, I had better show you all them in a post, along with some of the other goodies I bought when shopping the other day!

Hat - Topshop, Shirt, socks and hand chain - River Island, Skirt - Ark, Rucksack - Primark, Boots- Jeffrey Campbell at Formosa Fashion.

This is an old shirt that doesn't really get to see the light of day, but I felt like it would go well with this outfit, and stop it from looking too gothy.
This rucksack is great and I am amazed at the quality as I normally hate Primark's stuff, but I think it is much better than paying £85 for one from Topshop. Alright it isn't real leather, but for £9 who can complain?!
I also bought the skirt out shopping the other day. I know almost every blogger on the planet has a pleated pleather skirt now, but I love them and thought I would try and put my own twist on it.
I've said all I can about the JCs too, I LOVE THEM! Sooo spikey and over the top, but not so much so that they would be classed as a weapon, unlike the other pair I wanted.

So tonight I am off to the boyf's house, then either going to the gym or sunbathing all day tomorrow, depending on the weather! What are you all doing with this unexpectedly lovely weekend we are supposed to have?

Ciao for now!
