On the road again...

So today is the move back to Uni! And I can honestly say I have never been more excited for anything. I feel  like once I am back in Northampton I can go job hunting, catch up with friends, classes, gym and nights out. Basically I feel like I will have a purpose in life. Which I have not felt for the last 5 months of summer.
I am posting this from the car, on the way over to uni, and I regret to say this could be my last post for a little while, as I don't know the situation of internet at my new house, nor whether I will have a photographer as readily available as I did at home. (My dad liked to use these posts as an excuse to work on his creative side) But I will try none the less. However, due to the move today, I don't have alot to tell you about my day yesterday. I got up, started packing, decided my hair needed dying before I moved, so I slapped on some dye, carried on packing, washed it off, and did more packing. The highlight of my day was a chinese take out bought by my dad, which I savoured, because as of tomorrow it is back to pot noodles and asda price sausages!
Anyway, this is the result of the dying and what I wore to pack my crap up.

Textured Tee and Pleather Leggings, cross earrings and leather bracelets - Topshop, Boots - Melody Direct, Watch - Fossil, Velvet bow brooch - River Island.

So this shirt was only featured like 2 days ago, but I felt like wearing it today with trousers as it is loose and comfy and great for lugging about heavy boxes.
The Pleather leggings are still amazing. Enough said.
The velvet bow on the tee was originally attached to a pair of glittery hareem trousers that I bought a while ago. God knows what possessed me. But as I was selling the trousers, I thought the bow would make a lovely addition to many outfits, so I thought I would hang on to it.

This is my new hair guys. I haven't tried blue on its own before, and as it came out really dark when I used it for the dip dye, I mixed it with conditioner, which acted as a white toner. It still came out a little brighter than I was expecting, but I must admit, I am chuffed with the results! I just hope it fades reasonably quick, as I feel that prospective employers may not feel the same!

So tonight I shall be settling in my new home, with my nice big double bed. The first one I have had in my life, aren't I grown up now?! What are you all up to? Anything interesting?

Tarrah!

You've really got me now.

Today has been pretty dull, I actually only went to the gym, however, I felt like doing an ootd post despite the fact that I have just been sat around drinking tea!

Jumper, socks - River Island, leggings - Primark, watch - Fossil, Boots - Asos.

I bought this jumper last year, and don't often wear it as I don't think it is the most flattering jumper, but I love it for a comfy around the house jumper, and I think when teamed with black leggings to trousers it has quite a 60s beatnik look to it.
These chelsea boots are a bit of a disappointment to me, they are the comfiest shoes I own, however, I had only worn them about two or three times before the leather got too soft and lost shape!

I apologise once again for the horrible indoor photos, we ran out of time before it got dark! The days are getting shorter and cooler! And to be honest, I am quite looking forward to it. I always get excited for Autumn, the smell in the air, crispy ground and best of all, a new term at Uni!

I also apologise for my chunkiness in these photos, I had a free house this weekend, so the boyf moved in and I proceeded to cook farrr too much food and ate far too much, and I can see from these photos that it has appeared straight on the thighs! I have one week left on my gym membership before Uni, so this week is al GO GO GO!

Tonight I am watching Precious, a film I have wanted to see for ages, and so far I have been driven to tears at least three times!
What are you all doing tonight? Have you all had a busy bank holiday weekend?

Ciao Ciao for now!

Summer's in the air and baby, heaven's in your eyes.

So today I went out with a friend to town to pick up a few bits before her operation tomorrow. (GOOD LUCK LADY) The day was unbelievably hot, and I realised yet again that summer is not the time for leather clothing. I have said this the last several times I have been out, yet I still don't learn from it!
Anyway, this is my outfit of the day. I thought this would be a good opportunity to show you all my new tasselled bag that I bought last week.
I also bought this lipstick today too. I am not al that great on judging make up, my friend likes it, I'm not so sure, what do you all think?

Top and feather earrings - Newlook, Skirt and tassel bag - Ark, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell, Watch - Fossil, Above knuckle rings - Kukee, Spiked ring and skeleton necklace - Miss Selfridge, cross earring, skull ring and leather bracelets - Topshop, skull bracelets - Spun Out, Charm Bracelet - Pandora.

Gosh I didn't realise I was wearing that much!
Anywho, I spent an age looking for a tassel bag like this, only to find that they had sold out everywhere, but I finally found one!
I thought I would do a close up on my jewellery today as I realised I didn't actually have any decent photos of my above the knuckle rings from Kukee, who are amazing by the way. I've said that before, but I am still raving!

On another note, because my posts have got a bit repetitive recently, I thought I would write about a few things that are really exciting me at the moment.

Leather! - Incase you can't already tell, I am fully embracing the leather trend full on, (possibly too early, as it is soooo hot!) and wearing it constantly. The slightly gothic trend that has been hitting the glossies for the last 2 months is making me so excited for the change in seasons and the winter ahead! Never EVER thought I would say this, but bring on the cooler weather so we can all embrace our inner bikers and goths and don leather!

Pastel Hair! - So excited to see that this is a trend that will be sticking around for the next season! I would probably have kept it up a bit longer anyway, but it is nice to be Elle approved ;)

Major hair envy.

Patent/waxy garments! - Anything with a slightly fetishy feeling to it is alright with me!

This seriously cool dress is by Jill Sander, and I have to say, I wouldn't have the guts to wear it, I freaken' LOVE it!
(Image from Elle.com)

Suits! - Personally I don't think I will ever be able to pull off this classic wardrobe staple, and I seriously envy people that can. Maybe in a few years when I am a grown up and no longer wear spiky shoes and have normal coloured hair I might invest... Maybe.

A suit in red velvet?! What's not to love?!
(Image from Elle.com)

Tartan! - I am loving this trend, but I can't help but think I might wear it more in a punky sense than the scottish!

Loving this shirt from Ark! Studded boots, leather trousers and stacked bracelets, the glamorous punk look nailed!

As excited as I am about the next season, I can't help but cringe at some trends, such as jewel embellishment, I can't help but think that it looks tacky. Even in the pages of Vogue, garments in this trend just remind me of something I would have worn as a little girl that had been pulled out of the dressing up box. I can't help but wonder what a catastrophe will be made of this trend on the high street.
Another major pet hate for me is the new 'lower heel.' I can understand I guess for practical reasons, the desire to buy a shoe like this, but I think unless it is sky high, it isn't worth doing!

Both big no nos in my opinion, but what do you think?

So at this point I was also going to add a youtube link of one of my tunes of the moment, but for those of you who are new to reading my blog, you should know that I am severely technologically challenged and I couldn't make it work. So if any of you could tell me how to do it, I shall try to put one on my next post!

Now I am off to bed as this post took me quite a bit longer than I thought it would, so I am going to chill with a film and catch up on reading Vogue!
Are you guys doing anything exciting this week?

Au revoir, toodle pip!

My trip to London...

So on Friday I went to London shopping with a friend. If you read my blog, you will know the stuff I was planning on buying. Well, I bought the pleather leggings and the ox blood peplum top, however, when it came to the gorgeous studded Jeffrey Campbell's, I chickened out. I loved them sooo much, however, the spikes were huge and when I tired them on I knew I wouldn't be able to get into clubs in them so I didn't get them. Anyway. Here is my new outfit.

Top and pleather leggings - Topshop, Boots - Pasha, Collar, skull bangle and knuckle rings - Kukee, Watch - Fossil

I have always maintained that I hate anything to do with peplums, however, I tried this on after visiting China Town and eating as much as I could physically fit in, and I found that it hid my food baby completely, and even in these photos where I was incredibly bloated and it pain it still was flattering. It also works wonders for those who are not particularly blessed in the bust department, making me look several sizes bigger than I actually am! So I take back all my hate and am now intending to buy this top in a few more colours.

These pleather trousers are amazing, so comfy and stretchy, however, I fear I will have to exchange them next time I get anywhere near a Topshop, as the stitching around the seams is starting to fall apart after only a couple of days.

The new jewellery is all bought from Kukee, and I must say I am incredibly impressed with them. The jewellery was very reasonably priced, (The collar was £5!) and arrived very quickly. I ordered it at 3 o clock Sunday morning, it was here by Thursday, all packaged up nicely with coloured tissue paper.

I am still on the lookout for some Jeffrey Campbells online, so if anyone knows of any websites that stock them, other than Office, as they don't do refunds, then please let me know. I will love you forever!

Tonight I am off to the gym and for a swim, what are all your plans for the evening?

Criss cross and polka dots.

Hiiiii guys!

So today has been a fairly dull day, the highlight was probably taking the 10 minute walk to Tesco for salad and fruit as I started to diet yesterday. I also joined the gym, but due to the fact that I probably have a chest infection I didn't want to attempt to get on a treadmill as I thought I might cough up a lung. Hopefully the doctor will provide me with antibiotics tomorrow. Oh I also went up to the club with the rents. It is sort of like a pub, but cheap and filled with old Norfolky folk. But who's complaining, cheap booze yay!
And I regret to say that I have another 2 full days of this as friends are all busy and the boyf has gone back to uni for a few days to pack up his stuff.
Anyway. This is what I wore today!

T-shirt - Topshop, Leggings - Primark, Boots - Pasha, Headscarf - Vintage, Chunky rings - Topshop, Silver ring - Earnest Jones, Watch - Fossil, Scull bracelets - Spun out Northampton, Charm bracelet - Pandora, Cross earring and flesh tunnel - Topshop, chain earring - Miss selfridge.

Now I know I've worn this tee for several posts, but I love it, it is so comfy and flattering. It hides all manner of spare tyre sins!
The watch I bought in New York on a Uni trip. I found highstreet fashion in New York rather disappointing so I spent most of my savings on this bit of bling. I'm a little bit obsessed with rose gold and man stuff, so this watch was perfect!
The rings were on sale in a set and a little bit gothic, so I had to have them.
The little silver ring was bought for me on my 19th birthday by my gorgeous boyf. It was the last one in this style in the shop and it was my size. Meant to be!
The headscarf was bought from a lovely little second hand shop round the corner from my house. I think it cost about 50p!

Now these leggings are something else. I will recommend these to everybody. They cost a glorious £4 in the Primark underwear section. As they are control leggings they pull you in and stop any wobbling! They are incredibly comfy, don't turn see - through (So there is no unsightly underwear flashes) and they have kept their shape, despite wearing them millions of times. Best £4 I have spent!

I am also proud to say I have stopped biting my nails! I have wanted to do it for ages, but couldn't get out of the habit, but then I got a gorgeous nail varnish free with Harpers mag, so I was inclined to stop biting my nails. However, this has happened many times, so we will see how long it lasts! Anyway, I found a silver nail varnish in my collection that I don't remember seeing before so I thought I would give it a go, and I love it! What do you think?

Anyway, I feel that is enough rambling for one night, incase you can't tell, I have had a couple of glasses of wine so I have the rabbits and am talking alot!
What are you all doing for the next few days? Any interesting plans?

Have a good night you sexual beings!
