I'm back... Again

Hi guuuyyyss!
Sorry for my long departure. Again.
The coursework deadlines hit me like a brick to the face and I have spent the last month in a mad studying frenzy... Half the time not even getting out of my jim jams hence a lack of outfit posts. Or posts at all for that matter. However, only two assignments left to go and the deadlines aren't till January. So the panic can buzz off for a few days.
To celebrate the end of term I had the bestie come to stay. We went for steak and drinks on Friday, followed by more drinks (fabulous cocktails) at this little place called Hakamou. If you're ever in Northampton, I strongly recommend a visit. The Hawaiian setting based underneath the shopping center is incredible, topped off with 80s tunes and a smokey atmosphere, I felt like I had died and gone to heaven. Even more so when I tasted their Bear's Bollock, a mixture of coconut rum and fruit juices inside a frozen coconut. Check out my instagram for piccys.
Anywho. Here is what I wore for the night.

Tee and necklace - Topshop, Shorts - River Island, Bow - Brooch off River Island trousers, Earrings - Vintage.

Apologies for the weight gain. Not pretty. Stress eating has taken its toll and my shorts are considerably tighter. Going to attempt a good, healthy week before Christmas binging.

The gold eye make up is colour tattoo. I love this stuff. I find it glams up the most grungy of outfits and you can paint it on without much control and it still looks cool. Or at least I think it does. It is just a pain in the butt to get off again. Be prepared to scrub your eyes raw with make up remover to shift it.

I am now off back to bed to watch a good film, and as I am here all week on my lonesome for work, I will crack on with the last assignments later. All the stressing has given me a cold. Thank the lord for hot water bottles.

If any of you lovely people have any good films to watch when you're ill then let me know. I am running out of ideas.

I must say it is nice to be back!

Blow me one last kiss...

It's been another busy week for me this week! Lectures and work, my first open mic night at work (a reasonable success I must say!) and last night was spent at the boyf's. I helped him out with doing a months worth of shopping, so he thanked by cooking me steak and egg with alphabites. One of my favourites, best boyfriend ever!

Anyway. In among all the madness I have managed to get in a few snaps of what I wore to work on Tuesday, bit late so I am sorry!

Shirt and Longsleeved tee - H&M, Shorts - River Island, Boots - Melody, Cross earrings, peace necklace, skull and frog ring - Topshop.

As it it Thursday night, my weekend starts here, and I am beginning it trying not to cry at Hollyoaks then a night full of coursework!
The fun begins tomorrow as I have been invited to the 25th anniversary party for Jeffery West in recognition of my placement! Bit nervous to go alone though, I don't know what industry events are like! Any bloggers got any advice?

All exciting!
Hope you are all alright!

I wanna spend the rest of my life with you by my side...

Happy Sunday all!
If you are anything like me, you will be sitting here drowning the Sunday Blues in a bottle of blossom hill and reminiscing about the fantastic weekend you just had.
If you are a regular reader, you will know that this weekend the boyf and I hauled arse to London (Erith to be exact) for my cousin's combined wedding day and 30th Birthday and I have to say it was such a beautiful day.
The beautiful bride Casey walked down the aisle to Lonestar, Amazed, in her beautiful, albiet very ruffley wedding dress, looking every inch the stunner. Much tears were shed, not just by myself, but by the vast majority of my family.
I am now back home and feeling somewhat sorry for myself after this weekend. I have been excited about it for ten whole months, and it flew by in the blink of an eye!
This is what I wore to the wedding and reception...

Blazer - Newlook Dress - Jones and Jones, Socks - Topshop, Shoes - River Island, Bag - Ark, Fascinator - Claire's Accessories.

I had many a dilema about what to wear to the wedding. Those of you who regularly read can probably tell that dressing "posh and smart" isn't my strong point, so I made a particular effort. I dug out my smartest stilettos and forked out for the blazer, forgot completely about colour co-ordinating my bag, and threw on a pair of ankle socks to make the look a bit more "me."
I was going to fork out and buy myself a mini boater hat with a lace veil, but I chickened out in the end and went for a slightly more sensible fascinator.
These shoes are an old classic, bought a few years ago, and since then my feet have shrunk so I am selling them! They are size 8... Big I know! Message me if you're interested!

Finally, a mahoosive shout out to the gorgeous boyf Miguel, for ditching the chinos and checkered shirts and donning a suit and braving my crazy family. Then preventing me from hyperventilating and having a mental breakdown when we couldn't get home the route we originally planned.
HERO!

Anywho. I am off to finish my blossom hill and watch I'm a celeb.
Hope you all have a good start to the week!
Love love love!

My first instagram post...

Thought i'd do a little instagram post to show a bit of what has been causing my absense.
i didnt forget about you guys though, and those of you who already follow me on instagram will already know i have been taking quick snaps of my outfits most days.

1. Saw this suit in Elle. I don't know who it's by, all I know is that it's red and velvet and I want it!
2. Dyed my hair red!
3. Quick outfit post! Shirt - River Island, dress Glamorous at Ark.
4. Finally perfected the lemon and prawn risotto!
5. Halloween!
6. Outfit post, what I wore to work last Saturday. Dress - River Island, Cardigan - Primark, Scarf - H&M.
7. My healthy pasta and sausage salad with low fat dressings. I will be size 8 by Christmas!
8. Patch, my company at night as the boyf and I are too busy to see each other much :(
9. RIP creepers. A sad moment in my life. They are still sat at the foot of my bed because I can't bare to throw them away!

Now I look at them, my life doesn't really look that busy, but I assure you, it is!
Most of my photos are of food aswell, as much as I am improving as a chef, I am falling behind on coursework because I spend too much time cooking! The benefits of having a big kitchen. Not exactly helping my waistline either. *Sighs.

This weekend I am off to my cousin's wedding, so hopefully I should get a fair few good photos for you all next week!
Better go pack!
Have a good weekend y'all!
See ya laterzz alligators!

Halloween and other reasons for my absence...

So I know it's pretty late to post the obligatory halloween pics, but I have been a busy lady!
Coursework is mental, working at the pub rather alot as well as trying to set up an open mic night as an event, (hopefully next Tuesday from 8 ish if any of you wanna pop down, spectators and performers alike, bring your own instruments)
Not to mention my rejoining of the gym, looking for placements, going to lectures and still finding time for a social life and sleep!
So I apologise for being rubbish, Hopefully when I get used to all these crazy days I will be blogging regularly again.
This is what I wore to Halloween at NBs!

Tee - Topshop, Shorts - River Island, Tights - Henry holland, Boots - Melody

I thought this year as I had so much bone stuff to make up a skeleton that I would not bother with a costume and just wear it all. (Also felt pretty cool wearing Topshop for Halloween HA!)
I decided to give blood red hair a go too, and the amount of compliments it has received since, I am thinking of keeping it!

The gorgeous girl next to me is Andi, the bezzer who lives next door, whose cool costume made up 1 seventh of the deadly sins, lust!
The hansom dude in the bottom photo is the boyf Miggi, I thought it was about time to introduce you all to him as I do seem to talk about him rather alot, and when better to do it than when we both look scary and messy!?

Anywho. I am now off to sleep because it has been a very long day and I have to be up at 6 tomorrow to wash my hair before a lecture. Wahh!
I will try to be back sooner this time!
Love love LOVE!

Hot Mess...

Apologies for my blogging absence, I have been a busy bee!
So tonight I am off out to see my friend's show Hot Mess, and no doubt a few glasses of wine, and this is what I shall be wearing...

Top - Forever 21, Shorts - River Island, Bag - Ark, Gold Collar - Kukee, Boots - Topshop.

So I bought these boots with my first week's wages. I was supposed to save them, then pesky Topshop sent round an email saying they had 20% off, so it had to be done, leather with gold spikes. I could not say no.
Also a big big sorry for the dodgy bra here, it is time for me to do laundry and I have been putting it off, I also didn't realise that my camera flash would make it show up so much! Ha!

On that note, I had better go and get ready, have a fabaroonie weekend!
Love love love!

Grow up and get a job...

Well... This week I did both.
I finally decided as I am now living in a house and paying bills and rent and having responsibility that it was about time to lose the crazy blue hair, endless shopping and general childishness. Shopping this summer has left my bank balance crying at me, so the time has come to stop moping and get a job. So after 3 weeks of hunting around I have one. I will be on trial for the first few weeks, but hopefully it will be fine.

I must now apologise for my lack of blogging the last few weeks, we only got set up with internet Monday, and as I started lectures on Tuesday I have been rather a busy bee and have found myself short of time. Slap me on the wrists, but please don't leave me! I fear blogging may become slightly less frequent, but time permitting, I have some plans that will hopefully become apparent in due course...

So today was my last day of the week, my lovely timetable gives me Mondays and Fridays off, which is brill, plenty of time to do work and go to work! And hopefully chill too, and this is what I wore!

Shirt - H&M, Jumper and shorts - River Island, Rucksack - Primark, Boots - Melody.

As it was back to school this week I felt like a collar and jumper was in order, topped off with a geeky rucksack.
I also decided that job hunting with blue hair was not particularly easy, and even though I got the job while I had blue hair, I decided that I needed a change. Brunette it was. I am not gonna lie, I was slightly terrified of putting brown on top of blue, but I think it came out okay, and I feel alot more sophisticated for it.
Not to mention it is soooo much easier waking up in the morning and being able to wear anything without thinking about whether it clashes or matches my hair too much. Getting ready takes half the time!

So I am really excited about the year ahead, my second year has lots of exciting fashion things going on and quite frankly, I can't wait to get stuck in!
Tonight I am off to bed to watch gossip girl and mentally plan my day off tomorrow, What are you all up to?

Ciao Ciao for now, sleep well my beauties!

On the road again...

So today is the move back to Uni! And I can honestly say I have never been more excited for anything. I feel  like once I am back in Northampton I can go job hunting, catch up with friends, classes, gym and nights out. Basically I feel like I will have a purpose in life. Which I have not felt for the last 5 months of summer.
I am posting this from the car, on the way over to uni, and I regret to say this could be my last post for a little while, as I don't know the situation of internet at my new house, nor whether I will have a photographer as readily available as I did at home. (My dad liked to use these posts as an excuse to work on his creative side) But I will try none the less. However, due to the move today, I don't have alot to tell you about my day yesterday. I got up, started packing, decided my hair needed dying before I moved, so I slapped on some dye, carried on packing, washed it off, and did more packing. The highlight of my day was a chinese take out bought by my dad, which I savoured, because as of tomorrow it is back to pot noodles and asda price sausages!
Anyway, this is the result of the dying and what I wore to pack my crap up.

Textured Tee and Pleather Leggings, cross earrings and leather bracelets - Topshop, Boots - Melody Direct, Watch - Fossil, Velvet bow brooch - River Island.

So this shirt was only featured like 2 days ago, but I felt like wearing it today with trousers as it is loose and comfy and great for lugging about heavy boxes.
The Pleather leggings are still amazing. Enough said.
The velvet bow on the tee was originally attached to a pair of glittery hareem trousers that I bought a while ago. God knows what possessed me. But as I was selling the trousers, I thought the bow would make a lovely addition to many outfits, so I thought I would hang on to it.

This is my new hair guys. I haven't tried blue on its own before, and as it came out really dark when I used it for the dip dye, I mixed it with conditioner, which acted as a white toner. It still came out a little brighter than I was expecting, but I must admit, I am chuffed with the results! I just hope it fades reasonably quick, as I feel that prospective employers may not feel the same!

So tonight I shall be settling in my new home, with my nice big double bed. The first one I have had in my life, aren't I grown up now?! What are you all up to? Anything interesting?

Tarrah!

Take me to a galaxy far, far away...

So yesterday I went on my final shopping trip in Norwich, this time with the boyf. He bought himself lots of lovely stuff, and I bought myself this cool outfit. We had a lovely day but I couldn't help feeling disappointed that Topshop didn't have the "Horror" black tee in, so I am hoping that when I get back to Northampton this weekend that they will, if not, I will try and wait for a free delivery on Topshop.com. New Look also didn't have the dress in stock anymore that I showed you in my last wishlist post, however, I found one that will be even better, due to the fact that this one won't fall down and cause me any awkward moments.
I also had to once again go and replace my laptop, as the one I bought only a couple of weeks ago decided to start playing funny buggers with me, but the nice man at Staples fixed me up with a shiny new one. A better one... However, once I got home, I realised to my horror that I had left my Lord of the Rings DVD in the disk drive, so the next day I shamefully had to go back and ask for it back, to which all the staff started laughing at me and saying "Oh what if Frodo could see you now." It would have been less embarrassing picking up a porno DVD I swear.

Anywho. Enough rambling. On with the outfit!

Glasses - Primark, Tee - Topshop, Skirt - River Island, Bag - Ark, Boots - Melody Direct.

Now I featured this skirt in a wishlist post a couple of posts ago, and I am pleased to say that when I tried it on it did not disappoint. It was a little tighter than I thought it would be, (not so good for the spare tire around my middle) however, when teamed with a baggy shirt, such as this gorgeous textured Topshop tee, it is actually quite flattering.
Now you all know how much I love my Topshop tees, they are so comfy and flattering, so when I saw this one, I had to buy it. I really liked the unusual colour and texture of it, but as it looked slightly odd worn untucked from the skirt, yet not so flattering when tucked in, I thought I would take some inspiration from Lydia Millen, and tie it up at the side! Not sure I pull it off as well as her, but I thought it did a reasonable job of hiding said spare tire.
I should also mention, skirts of this style are not for the faint hearted. I realised when wearing it today that you need only take a couple of steps and the tiny piece of underskirt protecting one's modesty in the slit side is completely gone. It rides up ALOT. I found myself unattractively yanking it down every minute or so. Maybe it is something I will get used to.
Now for day time I will wear this skirt with chunky boots as above, but for something more dressy I will probably wear it with a blouse and my JCs.

Tomorrow I am very happy to say that I am off shopping with my friend, the one who had a major operation just 2 weeks ago, well she has made a recovery much quicker than any of us expected, so we are off hunting for some boots for her, and some toothpaste for me. Woo exciting ; ) I would also expect that at some point we may end up in the pub for a few bevvies, as this is the last time I will see her before the big move back to uni on Saturday (YAY!!).

I will also continue the venture of packing, and I am taking all my old clothes round the corner to the nice lady who sells stuff for you in her shop to try and raise a few more pennies to start paying off my enormous debt from this summer, so everything in my shop page will hopefully be sold tomorrow.

What are you all up to, anything particularly nice?

Cheerio, toodle pip!
