Happy Friday!

Hey guys!
So this has been a relatively good week, particularly yesterday. If you had seen yesterday's post you will know that I received my Galaxy Note that I upgraded to on Wednesday. As you could probably tell, it is taking me a while to get used to the size and keypad after 2 years with blackberry. This means that I have finally joined the world of instagram! Follow me when I have finally worked it all out and got it linked to this.

If any of you have any good apps that you'd recommend, let me know!

Shirt - Newlook, Top - H&M, Pleather trousers- Topshop, Bag - Ark, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell, Belt - Vintage, glasses - Red or Dead.

I thought I'd try the layering trend a little today, as I am not keen on either of these tops on their own, and actually, I love them together! I won't go into the trousers or boots again as you all know how much I love them!
Yesterday I had my hair bleached again. My roots were beyond a joke, and I wanted to dye it crazy colours again, however, now my hair is brittle like straw and was snapping as I was straightening it, I feel like this was one bleach too much! Any of you beauty bloggers got any solutions for me? Apart from "I told you so" as I've already heard enough of that!
Despite the bleaching, I did dye it minty green again today, and hallelujah! I got the mix right so it came out pastelly finally! It doesn't show up too well here though :(

Tonight I am off to the boyf's house, then I have absolutely nothing planned for the rest of the weekend. Sadface. Do any of you have anything nice planned?

Ciao ciao for now!

Tuesday 28 August 2012

This is England...

Good evening my lovelies,
Today was another quiet day, I went round my nan's house for a natter and glass of wine (Lambrini actually, I'm classy like that.)
I had all my best intentions of going to the gym too, but ran out of time once we had taken these photos! I wish the gym was open 24 hours a day, would make going an awful lot easier!

Anyway. Here is my OOTD! I was feeling a bit of an 80s vibe today, I think it was the acid wash jeans.

Jacket - Next, Jeans - H&M, Tee - River Island, Boots - Melody Direct, Hat - Topshop, Necklace - Miss Selfridge.

I was bought this Tee for my birthday by the lovely boyf. It is great because it is baggy so it hides all manner of sins. On the downside, it is rather short so it is best worn with something high waisted!

These jeans were a massive bargain that I have to mention, they cost only £14.99 and are really great quality! They are also comfy and quite high in the waist so they hide away any muffin tops!

Tonight I am off to the boyfs, hence the short post, my bus is soon!
What are you all up to with your evenings?

Monday 27 August 2012

You've really got me now.

Today has been pretty dull, I actually only went to the gym, however, I felt like doing an ootd post despite the fact that I have just been sat around drinking tea!

Jumper, socks - River Island, leggings - Primark, watch - Fossil, Boots - Asos.

I bought this jumper last year, and don't often wear it as I don't think it is the most flattering jumper, but I love it for a comfy around the house jumper, and I think when teamed with black leggings to trousers it has quite a 60s beatnik look to it.
These chelsea boots are a bit of a disappointment to me, they are the comfiest shoes I own, however, I had only worn them about two or three times before the leather got too soft and lost shape!

I apologise once again for the horrible indoor photos, we ran out of time before it got dark! The days are getting shorter and cooler! And to be honest, I am quite looking forward to it. I always get excited for Autumn, the smell in the air, crispy ground and best of all, a new term at Uni!

I also apologise for my chunkiness in these photos, I had a free house this weekend, so the boyf moved in and I proceeded to cook farrr too much food and ate far too much, and I can see from these photos that it has appeared straight on the thighs! I have one week left on my gym membership before Uni, so this week is al GO GO GO!

Tonight I am watching Precious, a film I have wanted to see for ages, and so far I have been driven to tears at least three times!
What are you all doing tonight? Have you all had a busy bank holiday weekend?

Ciao Ciao for now!

Friday 24 August 2012

What a girl wants.

Hey guys!
Happy Friday! Hope you are all looking forward to the long weekend, those of you who work in retail, I feel your pain! I remember the days of not having weekends as weekends.
Anywho. Today has been a pretty good day, woke up with the boyf, then lazed around until my parents picked me up, then I treated them to a meal at Yo! Sushi, which I was so excited about, as I have been going with my mum since I was about 10 in London, yet my dad and stepmum have never really had it, and I am happy to say that they both loved it. I can see trips there happening a little more often! Especially as we have had one open in Norwich! Could it finally be that Norfolk is catching up with the rest of the planet?!

Anywho, I am not going to bother posting an OOTD, as you have all seen my outfit several times, although I will say that I have walked an awful lot since last night in the new JCs, and they are still comfy, apart from the rather large blister on the top of my foot. We must suffer for fashion!
So because I'm not doing an outfit post, I thought I would do another wishlist, something I had promised myself I wouldn't do, as I have already spent far too much, but as a new season is coming up, I can't help but look!

1. Black Dress - New Look
2. Galaxy Tee - River Island
3. Galaxy skirt - River Island
4. Lace ankle socks - River Island
5. Velvet Rose print skirt - River Island.

1. This dress is a beautiful garment I have been lusting over for ages and ages. I've tried it on twice, the first time in a size 10, although unfortunately the zip was a bit funny, I can't quite tell if that is a manufacturing fault or the fact that I am being over optimistic, even though I am normally a 10. No matter how much I tried I could not get it done up, despite Amy standing there yanking and pulling all over the place!
The second time I tried it was in a size 12, I still struggled slightly with the zip, but I did manage to get it done up on my own, only to find that due to my lack of breasticals, the cups were too big so it fell down. This could have lead to many awkward moments, had I have chosen to purchase it.
So I am now dieting like mad, in the hope that when I go shopping with the boyf next week I can squeeze myself into it.

2. Just seen this, and you all know I love a baggy tee, so this is perfect!
3. Speaking for the tee aswell, I am really loving the galaxy print trend that is going round at the moment, and I love the shape of this skirt, I think it could be a perfect combination of grungy, spacey and sexy!

4. I love lace, and I love ankle socks. These combine two of my favourite things, and for £4.50 I don't think I could really go wrong!

5. Not normally a huge fan of body con, for the main reason that I am far too body concious! However, I feel like I would happily don some spanx and control tights to wear this velvet beauty!

On another note before I go, I have a debate/question/confusing issue that I can't help but puzzle over every time I open a magazine, What do you all think of the new Marc Jacobs hats? I am not saying that Marc Jacobs isn't a genius, but I seriously suspect he had spent the afternoon with Alice at the Mad hatter's tea party when he designed these monstrosities!

(Image from fashioniser.com)

WHAT IS THIS?!

What do you all think about the new season Marc Jacobs? Genius or madness?!

So what are you all doing over the bank holiday weekend?
Tomorrow I actually have a free house for the eve, so I am going to cook my famous seafood risotto for the boyf!

Have a fabaroonie weekend my lovelies!

How do you like me now?

Quick post today as I have 20 minutes before my bus, had a fairly uneventful day, attempted to start a 2 day fast then caved in at dinner time and made my favourite wholemeal pasta, albeit a small portion ;)

Here is the outfit of the day.

Top and shorts - Topshop, Bag - Ark, boots - Jeffrey Campbell.

Excuse the dodgy inside photos, my "photographer" aka dad was busy until it was too dark to take them outside! These shortening days are going to make blogging a bit more dificult!
Anywho, I am off round to the boyf's tonight, don't know yet what we are going to do though, then tomorrow I am taking my nan shopping again, as she has changed her mind on the dress we bought last week.
What are you all up to?

Ciao ciao,

Monday 20 August 2012

Summer's in the air and baby, heaven's in your eyes.

So today I went out with a friend to town to pick up a few bits before her operation tomorrow. (GOOD LUCK LADY) The day was unbelievably hot, and I realised yet again that summer is not the time for leather clothing. I have said this the last several times I have been out, yet I still don't learn from it!
Anyway, this is my outfit of the day. I thought this would be a good opportunity to show you all my new tasselled bag that I bought last week.
I also bought this lipstick today too. I am not al that great on judging make up, my friend likes it, I'm not so sure, what do you all think?

Top and feather earrings - Newlook, Skirt and tassel bag - Ark, Boots - Jeffrey Campbell, Watch - Fossil, Above knuckle rings - Kukee, Spiked ring and skeleton necklace - Miss Selfridge, cross earring, skull ring and leather bracelets - Topshop, skull bracelets - Spun Out, Charm Bracelet - Pandora.

Gosh I didn't realise I was wearing that much!
Anywho, I spent an age looking for a tassel bag like this, only to find that they had sold out everywhere, but I finally found one!
I thought I would do a close up on my jewellery today as I realised I didn't actually have any decent photos of my above the knuckle rings from Kukee, who are amazing by the way. I've said that before, but I am still raving!

On another note, because my posts have got a bit repetitive recently, I thought I would write about a few things that are really exciting me at the moment.

Leather! - Incase you can't already tell, I am fully embracing the leather trend full on, (possibly too early, as it is soooo hot!) and wearing it constantly. The slightly gothic trend that has been hitting the glossies for the last 2 months is making me so excited for the change in seasons and the winter ahead! Never EVER thought I would say this, but bring on the cooler weather so we can all embrace our inner bikers and goths and don leather!

Pastel Hair! - So excited to see that this is a trend that will be sticking around for the next season! I would probably have kept it up a bit longer anyway, but it is nice to be Elle approved ;)

Major hair envy.
 (Image from Squidoo.com)

Patent/waxy garments! - Anything with a slightly fetishy feeling to it is alright with me!

This seriously cool dress is by Jill Sander, and I have to say, I wouldn't have the guts to wear it, I freaken' LOVE it!
(Image from Elle.com)

Suits! - Personally I don't think I will ever be able to pull off this classic wardrobe staple, and I seriously envy people that can. Maybe in a few years when I am a grown up and no longer wear spiky shoes and have normal coloured hair I might invest... Maybe.

A suit in red velvet?! What's not to love?!
(Image from Elle.com)

Tartan! - I am loving this trend, but I can't help but think I might wear it more in a punky sense than the scottish!

Loving this shirt from Ark! Studded boots, leather trousers and stacked bracelets, the glamorous punk look nailed!
(Image from arkclothing.com)

As excited as I am about the next season, I can't help but cringe at some trends, such as jewel embellishment, I can't help but think that it looks tacky. Even in the pages of Vogue, garments in this trend just remind me of something I would have worn as a little girl that had been pulled out of the dressing up box. I can't help but wonder what a catastrophe will be made of this trend on the high street.
Another major pet hate for me is the new 'lower heel.' I can understand I guess for practical reasons, the desire to buy a shoe like this, but I think unless it is sky high, it isn't worth doing!

Both big no nos in my opinion, but what do you think?

So at this point I was also going to add a youtube link of one of my tunes of the moment, but for those of you who are new to reading my blog, you should know that I am severely technologically challenged and I couldn't make it work. So if any of you could tell me how to do it, I shall try to put one on my next post!

Now I am off to bed as this post took me quite a bit longer than I thought it would, so I am going to chill with a film and catch up on reading Vogue!
Are you guys doing anything exciting this week?

Au revoir, toodle pip!

OH! P.s. Please stop with the I'll follow you if you follow me comments, they are getting old now. (Grumpy Samma.)

Friday 17 August 2012

Leather and spikes.

Hey guys!

So today I didn't really do alot, although I did manage to push myself to the gym, really trying to push myself before the return to Uni in 3 weeks.

For those of you who follow me on twitter or facebook, you will already know that my Jeffrey Campbells finally arrived, and I tell you what, they are well worth that agonising wait, I love them and so far, they seem really comfy!
I ordered them from Formosa, and although I pre-ordered them, they were supposed to be dispatched on Wednesday the 8th, however, they weren't dispatched until Friday evening, so they took a lot longer than I was expecting! Anyway, they are here now so all is well.
I thought after goin gon about them for so long, I had better show you all them in a post, along with some of the other goodies I bought when shopping the other day!

Hat - Topshop, Shirt, socks and hand chain - River Island, Skirt - Ark, Rucksack - Primark, Boots- Jeffrey Campbell at Formosa Fashion.

This is an old shirt that doesn't really get to see the light of day, but I felt like it would go well with this outfit, and stop it from looking too gothy.
This rucksack is great and I am amazed at the quality as I normally hate Primark's stuff, but I think it is much better than paying £85 for one from Topshop. Alright it isn't real leather, but for £9 who can complain?!
I also bought the skirt out shopping the other day. I know almost every blogger on the planet has a pleated pleather skirt now, but I love them and thought I would try and put my own twist on it.
I've said all I can about the JCs too, I LOVE THEM! Sooo spikey and over the top, but not so much so that they would be classed as a weapon, unlike the other pair I wanted.

So tonight I am off to the boyf's house, then either going to the gym or sunbathing all day tomorrow, depending on the weather! What are you all doing with this unexpectedly lovely weekend we are supposed to have?

Ciao for now!

Wednesday 15 August 2012

Now my life is sweet like cinnamon.

Hey my sexy muffins!

Wowzas, lots of views and comments and stuff this week! Thanks guys! You make my days!
Anywho. Today I went with my friend to the hospital for her last appointment before her big op (GOOD LUCK GORGEOUS LADY!) then went into Norwich to do a spot of shopping. Now as I have recently had to fork out for a new laptop, I shouldn't really have spent any money, however, I think the devil (in Prada) possessed me and made me buy things. Lots of things. All leathery. Feeling the love for this seasons leather trend so much! I jumped on the bandwagon and bought a rucksack. I also bought a pleather pleated skirt. I don't care that everyone has them, I effing love them, so I bought it. My friend also managed to dig out a tasselled bag too, which if you read me regularly, you will know how long I have been searching for the perfect one, and she found it today, so these will all be featured in posts soon I reckon! I also bought some really cool, over-the-top frilly knickers. They however, won't feature on my blog, because, well, no one wants to see this jelly! ;)

Anywho. This is what I wore yesterday, but have only just posted, as I have been messing with them a bit on Gimp, as advised by a lovely girl called Amy, who I just checked and unfortunately doesn't seem to have a blog, sad times. (GET ONE SO I CAN READ IT... pretty please XD)

Hat - Topshop, Glasses - Primark, Dress - New Look, Boots - River Island, Necklace - Delilah Dust.
(Excuse the rather large blemishes *cough* spots on the close ups, I must've missed those haha!)

I bought this dress a couple of years ago when I first visited a friend at Uni. It is great because it is so versatile! It can be dressed up or down. It is also very warm and I think, fairly flattering!
These boots are the heeled version of the boots in my previous post. I bought them a while ago and they have got comfier with age, even though I have worn them so much the insoles now bunch up at the bottom of the toe!
I just realised that although I have featured this necklace before, I forgot to mention how impressed I was with Delilah Dust. The delivery was very quick and FREE, and when it arrived, it was beautifully packaged with a lovely postcard. I would recommend you check them out!

Now I have managed to give up biting my nails, I thought I would finally buy some strengthener and pink and white and give myself a french manicure. It took my rather unskilled hands a total of 2 hours (The white needed 3 layers so it wouldn't set, even when I put them under cold water) and although I like the results, I'm not sure it was worth the effort.

Just thought I'd share this piccy with you anyway, because I am proud that they are actually long enough to do this haha!

On a final note, I am excited to be able to say that I will be receiving my JCs tomorrow, finally, after they tried to deliever them today, but there was no one here to sign. So tonight I am off for an early night, as the sooner I sleep, the sooner tomorrow comes! YAY!!!
What are you all up to tomorrow?

Au revoir, toodle pip!
